Growing safely: keeping your data at home

Orven AI · 2 min read

When we talk about AI for a business, the real question isn't "does it work?" but "where does my data go?". Here's why it matters, and how Orven AI solves it.

Your data is your capital.

Your client list, your sales, your suppliers, your recipes: that's what makes your business valuable. Handing it to an online tool means putting it in someone else's computer, often an American company's, with their rules and their interests.

The big AIs have their own rules.

The platforms of the American giants filter, block, and enforce their policies: there are things AI is perfectly capable of doing, but their companies decide to forbid them. Your business becomes dependent on decisions made elsewhere, where you have no say.

U.S. law can demand your data.

American companies, like the ones behind ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, are subject to the CLOUD Act, a 2018 U.S. law. It requires them to hand over to the U.S. government the data they control, on a warrant or court order, even when that data is stored in Canada. The Government of Canada acknowledges it in its white paper on data sovereignty: when the provider is subject to a foreign law, you don't have full sovereignty over your data. And in June 2025, before the French Senate, Microsoft acknowledged it would hand over data hosted in France if a U.S. order required it.

Orven AI's answer: the local system.

We install the system in your environment. Your data lives at your place, in your files, on your hardware. Nobody else analyzes it. You can see it, verify it, take it with you. That's your digital sovereignty: the system works for you, under your rules, and nothing slips away.

More power, not less.

A local system is not a limited version: without a company's policies deciding what you're allowed to do, it can do more, tailored to your field, your products, your way of working.

The safety of a real contract.

At Orven AI, every client signs a contract where the security and ownership of their data is written in black and white. What is yours stays yours. Non-negotiable, written, and verifiable.

Growing with AI shouldn't mean choosing between power and control. A well-built system gives you both.

Let's see what it would look like for you.
